How to fix the vmware ESXI 6.x update error by command line.

In previous post, I taught how to update the esxi by the command line.

However in ESXI version 6.x there is an error situation that I will illustrate in the figure below.

[InstallationError]
[Errno 28] No space left on device
vibs = VMware_locker_tools-light_6.5.0-1.47.8285314

In fact despite the scary message, the solution is quite simple.

Será necessário acessar a interface web do ESXI e em Navigator clicar em Manage. Na aba da direita, acessar a aba “System / Swap / Edit settings”. Você irá reparar que a opção “Datastore” está com o valor No. conforme figura abaixo:

You will change this option from None to one of your configured datastores on the ESXI server.

Your configuration will look like this:

Now just apply the update script again and everything will run normally:
